About Me

I’m Jeanne Steuer, the founder of A Brighter Day Counseling & Support Services. I am a fully licensed clinical social worker (MSW/LMSW) with over ten years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. I am part of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ASCW) through the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I graduated from the Wayne State University School of Social Work and serve clients throughout Michigan.

I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I have presented on the topic of DBT for the NASW for social workers to receive continuing education hours.

My counseling style is gentle, compassionate, engaging and non-judgmental. I take a hands-on and personalized therapeutic approach with clients. I believe everyone deserves a space to be heard and validated.

I consider Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) a “life preserver” to help you through tough challenges, along with other therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-centered Therapy, Strength-based Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI) All of the therapy modalities are intertwined to create a personalized approach for each therapy session. Click here to learn more.
