I’m new to therapy. What can I expect?

At A Brighter Day Counseling, a safe space is provided for everyone who walks through the door. The sessions are strength-based, person-centered and always customized to fit your needs. All individuals are offered cold bottled water for in-person sessions. Prior to booking your first appointment, a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation is offered where you’ll have the opportunity to share any specific focus areas you’d like to work through in therapy and get any questions answered.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, A Brighter Day currently accepts the following insurance plans: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Priority Health, HAP, Optum, Humana and United Health care. For clients who are out of network, Charge Card, Health Savings Account or Check are accepted.

What types of COVID-19 precautions can I expect during in-person sessions?

The goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible while following CDC and state guidelines. Mask-wearing is encouraged if you are not fully vaccinated. I am glad to wear a mask per your request. I sanitize between sessions and have a state-of-the-art air filtration system. Please don’t hesitate to share any concerns prior to your session.

Telehealth sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform and can take place from the comfort of your home. Access to a laptop, desktop computer, tablet or smartphone is required.
